After the conversation, leave the waiting room and return to Moran to activate another one. Do this a few times and he will eventually admit that he was strict with you during the last conversation. He will then inform you that Monk (the bartender) allowed him to store some of his stuff in a nearby room which is now open. Go back to the door and enter the room. Inside you will find a chest and a skill point.
